Weezer: The Gathering

Three iconic Alternative Rock bands are coming together to create one unforgettable night of triple bill performances! The Gathering Tour, starring Weezer, The Shins, and Silversun Pickups will be hitting the stage at Scotiabank Arena on Friday, September 25, 2026. Fans will have the chance to experience the talents of these amazing rock icons, sharing in a night of energetic and mesmerizing performances.

Weezer

The Weezer fans are going to love this because Weezer will be playing a huge mix of songs. There will be songs that every alternative rock fan knows well, and there will be some of the most heartfelt songs in rock music. The biggest hits from Weezer will include ‘Buddy Holly‘, ‘Say It Ain’t So‘, ‘Island in the Sun‘, and ‘Beverly Hills‘. The band recently put out the final installment of SZNZ: Winter which is the quintessential Weezer sound. The Weezer self-titled album, often referred to as the Blue Album has reached Triple Platinum status, the band have picked up a Grammy, and have been continuously pushing the boundaries of what we class as great music for the past 3 decades.

The Shins

The Shins follow Weezer on stage to give the crowd a taste of their unique indie rock sound. Their alternative songs such as ‘New Slang’, ‘Simple Song’ and ‘Phantom Limb’ will get fans singing along across the globe. The lead singer and guitar player James Mercer’s distinctive voice fills the large arena with emotion. His lyrics in their 2017 album, Heartworms, deliver depth to the songs with their complex and rich arrangements. ‘Caring Is Creepy’ and ‘Australia’ are two other tracks fans can look forward to being played at the concert. The Shins have received huge critical acclaim from all over the world, as well as a massive fan base, due to their unique sound and style of music. Their song ‘New Slang’ was featured in the hit movie Garden State and gained huge recognition from the successful film, bringing The Shins into the mainstream.

Silversun Pickups

Silversun Pickups, the third band announced for The Gathering tour, is a true wall-of-sound band that combines a unique blend of the shoegaze sound with alternative rock. Their live performances are always massive and physically thrilling. The core sound of Silversun Pickups is created by the driving bass lines and complex rhythms of their work, topped by Brian Aubert’s rich and often fuzzed-up guitar work alongside the crashing drums and lush keyboards. The band’s latest release, Physical Thrills, is a full-blown wall of sound, as always. Silversun Pickups have been touring for years to ever-growing crowds, and are highly-acclaimed for their live performances. The band got their name from a liquor store in Los Angeles.

Scotiabank Arena Information

Scotiabank Arena is a venue located at 40 Bay Street, the heart of downtown Toronto, Ontario.
